did/does anybody keep a pregnancy diary?
well i’ve been keeping a pregnancy diary since i found out i am pregnant. just wondering if anybody did or is keeping one now and whether you thought it was a good idea, if you were glad to have a diary of your pregnancy.
thank you

I keep a diary for everything and write in it most days. During my two pregnancies I kept an update of scans, kicks etc.
NO
i think it is a very good idea! i was going to.. but i am 23 weeks & i haven’t yet! just never remember. busy a lot with work and this & that. i do have some baby books. i will do that. and a photo album of ultrasounds. it will def. be something to look back on years down the road.
I am horrible with journals, I kept one for my daughter it was wrote in little by little, my son I started one but work took over, this one i didn’t bother as I really don’t have much to say.
I think it’s a good idea for people who love writing or are creative. I wrote the same things almost every day.
lol
Your child and you will cherish it!
Congrats and good luck!
I did! My hubby and I both do every night! We tell our little baby what we did that day and that we cannot wait to meet him/her!
somewhat. i started in the beginning but lost track of it. but i have been keeping the baby book deal where i keep a record of my dr appointments, my growth, feelings, the baby’s progress etc.
I have! When I found out I was pregnant I started writing everything down, and I kept it all in a plastic baggie because I didn’t have a journal. But now that I have one I write EVERYTHING down. I don’t ever want to forget!
I keep a blog that I update weekly and with anything that warrants an entry!
Yes. I did with my first babies, and i didn’t want to leave these ones out, so i started one for them too. My hubby writes a paragraph or two at the end too, and I put my scan pics, appointments, feelings, what i’ve done that day, what the midwife/ob said, absolutely everything! I also put the pics of my growing belly in it aswell. It’s a great thing to look back on, and show your child when they’re older. I carried the first diary up until a few months after birth, so i’ll do this one for the same amount of time.
Hey there, congrats on your pregnancy! Yes, I started a pregnancy journal when I became pregnant. My mother passed away when I was 21 (I’m 32 now) and one of the few things I have of hers are her journals. I found the passages where she talks about being pregnant with me, and gives a long description of my labor & birth. I can’t tell you how precious these words are to me. So, I decided to keep a journal so that one day my child may read about my pregnancy with him/her, especially in the event that I might not be around. Totally morbid, I know, but all part of the "motherless daughters" psyche.
I also keep the ultrasound pics in the journal too. I just write when I feel like it – for once, I decided not to put pressure on myself to write every day or even every week. I just write when I have some updates, or thoughts/feelings that I would want my baby to learn about some day. It’s already been wonderful to read back over some of the passages; I let my partner read them too if he feels like it.
Best of luck to you!
