Reparing diary: Putting pages that fell out back into it?

I have a diary I bought for about a dollar and a quarter on sale and now I see why it was on sale. Not too long after I started writing it it, the pages started to fall out and now nearly all of them are out. I want to fix it, but I’m not sure what to do. The pages apparently were just glued into it, and I wouldn’t mind gluing them back in but I don’t want to make a huge mess. Does anyone know what type of glue to use? Any tips on how to avoid making a mess?

Also, if you ever see a Gremlins diary marked down really cheap don’t buy it because it’s a piece of crap!!
